Our Story
Founded to address Uganda’s rural energy challenges where over 80% of the population relies on unreliable or harmful sources. Greenova began in the Lango subregion. We offer a comprehensive suite of products: solar home systems with pay-as-you-go flexibility, post-harvest tools to cut crop losses, productive use Electricity that power small enterprises and productions like solar oil press machines, irrigation pumps, and improved cookstoves for healthier homes. Through our 5-year expansion plan, we’re scaling across Northern Uganda, partnering with local leaders, banks, and microfinance institutions to make clean energy a reality for all.
Our Community-Driven Sales Process
We believe sustainable energy adoption thrives on trust, education, and community ownership. Our structured, transparent sales process from initial awareness to long-term support ensures every household can participate fairly and confidently.
Sales consultants and local agents identify interested individuals through village outreach, market demonstrations, churches, schools, community events, and referrals. Word-of-mouth and network marketing play a key role.
Community members are invited to an informational session with live product demonstrations — solar lighting, cookstove efficiency, drying canvas. Our team explains payment options, warranties, and answers questions to build excitement.
Participants form small groups of 10–30 members for mutual support and simplified logistics. Groups elect leaders to coordinate with our team. Women, farmers, and vulnerable households are prioritized in this inclusive model.
Group members select products and agree on payment plans — a small deposit of UGX 35,000–100,000. We connect clients to microfinance partners or bank loans where needed, and collect initial payments via flexible mobile money.
Products are delivered directly to the community with last-mile logistics. Technicians conduct a group installation session, provide hands-on training, and activate systems. Each customer receives product manuals and support contacts.
Remaining installments over 4–9 months are paid flexibly via mobile money. We send gentle reminders and offer full support for any issues under the 1-year warranty.
Once payments are complete, customers own their products outright. Satisfied users are encouraged to refer others, earning incentives like discounts or cash rewards. This restarts the cycle in new groups or neighboring villages — creating sustainable growth through network marketing.
